Role profile
The Consultants will be responsible for project delivery and management whilst supporting the business and client relationship development activities. Main responsibilities are (not limited to):
Provide technical knowledge and expertise in the fields of:
- Classification and labelling of industrial chemical substances, Safety data sheet authoring / hazard communication using Lisam software
- Creation of templates using Lisam and management of Lisam software updates
- Industrial hygiene / exposure assessment /global chemical inventory analysis
- Act as an advisor to our clients (both national and global MNC’s) on all relevant technical and regulatory product issues
- Actively involved in client relationship development through project discussions and demonstrating credibility
- Support the business development activities and proposal writing
- Help the junior consultants to develop their skills, especially Lisam software proficiency
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering or relevant environmental science or environmental engineering degree
- At least 2 years experience in SDS authoring using and managing Lisam software, within chemical or manufacturing industry such that you have practical experience in SDS, label, or PCN preparation with a strong background in classification and labelling according to GHS and CLP.
- Familiarity with Transport regulation or compliance advisor certification according to ADR and/or IMDG and/or IATA are beneficial as would a background in toxicology or ecotoxicology.
- Strong interest in data management, IT applications, and software tools.
- Experience in global chemical inventories
- Consultancy skills and experience of working within a consulting environment
- Possess strong written, verbal communication and data presentation skills in English
- Capacity to work independently, proactively and meet strict deadlines
- Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, and work independently with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of best practices and trends in regulatory management
- Additional language skills including German preferred
