At Johnson Matthey, your work will matter. As an Associate SecDevOps Engineer, you’ll join a world leader in platinum group metals with over 200 years of history. Using advanced metals chemistry, you’ll help tackle the world’s biggest challenges - cutting emissions, powering modern life and supporting life-saving technologies - by applying, refining and recycling metals that matter for a healthier, more sustainable, circular future.
The role:
As an Associate SecDevOps Engineer, you will help drive our goals by:
Support the automation of infrastructure, deployments, monitoring and operational processes across modern cloud platforms.
Embed security, compliance and resilience controls into CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments and software delivery practices.
Contribute to platform improvements, operational readiness activities and reusable engineering tooling.
Work with engineering, security and vulnerability management teams to identify and address security risks.
Assist with automated security testing, vulnerability scanning, secrets management and policy enforcement.
Participate in incident investigations, documentation and continuous improvement initiatives across SecDevOps practices.
Key skills that will help you succeed in this role:
Foundational experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, cyber security, software development or a related technology discipline.
Awareness of Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure concepts.
Understanding of Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD tools such as Terraform, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or similar.
Basic scripting or programming skills using Python, PowerShell, Bash or related technologies.
Knowledge of containerisation, observability and secure software delivery principles.
Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn and develop technical expertise.
