Key Responsibilities:
The Research Assistant will conduct research on cellular network security, with a particular focus on 4G/5G mobile networks and core network systems.
The candidate will analyse cellular network architectures, protocols, and implementations to identify potential security vulnerabilities.
The candidate will design and conduct experiments to validate identified security issues and evaluate their practical impact.
The role may also involve developing experimental testbeds, prototypes, and security analysis tools.
The candidate will contribute to research publications, technical reports, presentations, and other project deliverables, and work closely with the PI and research team.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Good knowledge of computer networks and network security.
Good programming and experimental research skills.
Familiarity with cellular networks, including 4G/5G systems and core network architectures.
Experience in network protocol analysis, system security, or security research.
Demonstrated research experience in cellular network security, as evidenced by publications in high-quality venues.
