Description
Full-Time | Early Mornings Required
Pay: $21–$24 per hour
- Test, record, and adjust pool and spa water chemistry.
- Brush, vacuum, skim, and clean pools, spas, tile lines, baskets, and surrounding areas.
- Inspect and troubleshoot pumps, motors, filters, heaters, salt systems, chemical feeders, valves, controllers, and related plumbing.
- Perform minor mechanical and plumbing repairs within the employee’s abilities.
- Clean filters and complete scheduled preventive maintenance.
- Monitor pool chemicals, replacement parts, and operating supplies.
- Identify leaks, circulation concerns, unusual equipment conditions, and items needing service.
- Maintain pool furniture, towel areas, safety equipment, signage, and deck appearance.
- Complete assigned work orders and document inspections, readings, maintenance, and repairs.
- Communicate equipment and operational needs to the Facilities Manager.
- Assist the Facilities team with general maintenance and special-event needs when required.
- Provide courteous and professional service while working around members and guests.
- Demonstrated mechanical ability and hands-on troubleshooting skills are required.
- Previous pool-maintenance experience is preferred.
- Florida Certified Pool Operator certification is preferred; training may be available.
- Familiarity with pool chemistry, circulation, filtration, heaters, pumps, and chemical-feed equipment is helpful.
- Basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or general maintenance experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to safely use common hand and power tools.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in completing quality work.
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work outdoors in Florida weather.
- Ability to lift approximately 50 pounds and safely handle pool chemicals.
- Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet to complete digital work orders.
- English/Spanish bilingual ability is helpful but not required.
- Full-time, Tuesday through Saturday.
- Early-morning shifts are required.
- Occasional schedule adjustments may be needed for holidays, special events, emergencies, or operational coverage.
- Starting pay of $21–$24 per hour, based on experience, certifications, and demonstrated mechanical abilities.
