Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our Litigation Support team in Tampa Bay with a focus on family law matters. This role will support complex divorce and related proceedings through financial analysis, expert report preparation, and collaboration with attorneys and senior professionals. The ideal candidate has an interest in family law litigation and is eager to build expertise while contributing to our growing practice.
Your Impact (Essential Duties):
- Independently prepare complex case documentation, financial analyses, and reconciliations with minimal supervision
- Collaborate with attorneys and legal teams under supervision, participating in case strategy meetings and assisting in the communication of financial findings
- Draft initial versions of expert witness reports, ensuring data accuracy, logical structure, and professional presentation
- Assist in the development of courtroom presentations and client-facing deliverables; comfortable supporting or presenting in high-pressure environments
- Translate complex financial information into clear, understandable formats for legal teams, clients, and non-technical audiences
- Contribute to the mentorship and development of junior team members through informal guidance and knowledge sharing
- Perform other duties and display flexibility to take on a variety of responsibilities assigned by firm leadership
- Meet annual billable hour and other targets to fulfill individual and team performance and overall firm productivity
Your Background:
- Required minimum: 3–5 years of experience in litigation support or related work
- Certifications: CPA, CFE, CFF, CVA, CBA, or ABV license or eligible
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- Understanding of complex accounting principles, including debits/credits, journal entries, and financial statements
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; experience drafting client reports is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and forensic accounting tools; experience with data visualization is a plus
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow procedures and deliver high-quality, reliable work
- Ability to work independently while proactively seeking support as needed to maintain efficiency and productivity
- Experience supporting expert witnesses in legal matters or working on cases involving family law, commercial litigation, financial fraud, or economic damages
- Full-time commitment and flexibility to work beyond regular hours to meet team deadlines
