Salary Range: Open Salary

Work Setup: Onsite 

Shift Schedule: Day Shift (Monday to Saturday)

Location: BGC, Cavite, Batangas, Bulacan

 

The role

The Tractor Head Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of raw materials, finished goods, equipment, and other cargo between manufacturing plants, warehouses, distribution centers, ports, customer locations, and project sites. This role ensures compliance with transportation regulations, company safety standards, and delivery schedules while maintaining the assigned tractor head in roadworthy condition. The Tractor Head Driver works closely with the Logistics, Warehouse, Dispatch, and Operations teams to support the company's end-to-end supply chain operations.

 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate assigned tractor head units to transport cargo, raw materials, finished products, machinery, and other loads to designated destinations.
  • Perform comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the tractor head and trailer are roadworthy, mechanically sound, and compliant with safety standards.
  • Verify that all required permits, registrations, licenses, trip tickets, and transportation documents are complete and valid before each dispatch.
  • Ensure cargo is properly loaded, secured, and balanced in accordance with company procedures and transportation safety regulations.
  • Execute deliveries according to assigned schedules, dispatch instructions, approved routes, and customer delivery requirements.
  • Coordinate with Dispatch, Warehouse, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Operations teams regarding loading schedules, route updates, delivery status, and operational concerns.
  • Monitor vehicle performance throughout each trip and promptly report mechanical issues, accidents, delays, or safety incidents to supervisors.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, security, and preventive care of the assigned tractor head to maximize vehicle reliability and operational readiness.
  • Accurately complete and submit delivery receipts, trip reports, inspection checklists, fuel consumption records, mileage logs, and other required documentation.
  • Comply with company safety policies, defensive driving standards, traffic laws, and transportation regulations at all times.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and securing cargo whenever required and safe to perform.
  • Represent the company professionally when interacting with customers, suppliers, warehouse personnel, security officers, and site representatives.
  • Report route deviations, delivery delays, vehicle breakdowns, customer concerns, or operational issues immediately to the Dispatch or Logistics team.
 

What we're looking for:

  • At least High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Professional Driver's License with the appropriate restriction code for operating tractor heads and articulated vehicles.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience as a Tractor Head Driver, Trailer Truck Driver, or in a similar heavy vehicle driving role.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, or distribution operations is an advantage.
  • Proven knowledge of safe driving practices, defensive driving techniques, traffic laws, and transportation regulations.
  • Knowledge of proper cargo loading, securing, and handling procedures to ensure safe transport of goods.
  • Basic knowledge of vehicle inspection, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting to identify and report mechanical or safety issues.
  • Ability to accurately complete trip tickets, delivery receipts, inspection checklists, fuel logs, and other transportation-related documentation.
  • Familiarity with route planning, GPS navigation, and delivery scheduling.
  • Physically fit and capable of performing duties associated with long-distance driving and cargo transport.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with Dispatch, Logistics, Warehouse, Manufacturing, and Operations teams.
  • Reliable, responsible, disciplined, and highly safety-conscious with strong attention to detail.
  • Professional demeanor and ability to interact courteously with customers, suppliers, and site personnel.
  • Strong time management, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Willing to travel to various company sites, warehouses, manufacturing plants, customer locations, and project sites as required.
  • Willing to work flexible schedules, including extended hours, weekends, holidays, and overnight trips when required by operational needs.
