Roles and Responsibilities

The job description for an EHS Engineer at Vallam, Sriperambudur working in a factory establishment site typically includes the following responsibilities:

• EHS Management to be established for Contractors management
• Conducting risk assessments: Identifying potential hazards and evaluating risks within the workplace.
• Compliance to EHS, Quality, … Policies: Actions to implement the Policies.
• Training and education: Providing training to employees on safe work practices and compliance with regulations.
• Incident management: Investigating and managing incidents, accidents, and safety concerns.
• Compliance assessments: Conducting assessments to ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• EHS training programs: Developing and conducting EHS training programs to promote safe work practices.
• Collaboration with stakeholders: Working with engineering, manufacturing, and other key stakeholders to develop new standards and procedures.
• Communication to stake holders : Communicating EHS, other requirements for compliance.

​QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Possess a recognized bachelor’s degree
• Qualified, competent, and certified EHS Professional approved by Directorate of Industrial Safety & Health (DISH) from global/ national/ state approved institutes with minimum 5 yrs relevant work experience
• Expert knowledge of local EHS legislations
• Good computer skill using MS office (word, excel, power point)
• Experience with and knowledge of independent standards organizations and certification programs such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc
