Description
Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a EHS Manager.
## What you’ll do:
This position provides environmental, health, safety, and security leadership to the Site. Individual is accountable for: directing EHS activities at his/her location(s); establishing EHS objectives and targets; internal reporting of EHS performance; communication of national, area, and local regulatory requirements, and; ensuring documents are available in the local languages. Position is responsible for: maintaining site ISO 14001 certifications; assuring accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics; assuring closure of MESH and regulatory agency findings on a timely basis; completion of required training for EHS personnel; managing interfaces with the public and governmental authorities with adverse findings and enforcement actions; directing actions during crises; site security, creating a strong EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site in EHS teams and processes.

## Health and Safety
1. Leads the creation of the site EHS&S targets and objectives (MESH Plan) in support of corporate, regional, and business group EHS&S strategic initiatives designed to drive EHS&S culture, compliance, and results.
2. Drives preventative and proactive action projects to mitigate and eliminate risks through root cause identification and corrective actions for environmental, safety and health activities.
3. Ensures that the federal, state, and local EHS regulations are met including air, land, and water to provide a safe working environment for employees, and a clean and healthful environment for the community.
4. Maintains fiscally and socially responsible methods and processes of managing natural resources and waste.
5. Responsible to achieve certification on MESH and dimensions included OPA, EBE, MESH+, etc.
6. Interfaces with regulatory agencies and divisional personnel to direct environmental, safety, and health efforts at the facility, in the division, and other groups within the company.
7. Leads site efforts in the development and deployment of EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, VPP, MESH).
8. Complies with Eaton’s ethics policy and keeps the management team informed of issues associated with regulatory compliance.
9. Manages all investigations, measurement, and evaluations of environmental, safety, and health conditions.
10. Maintains positive employee engagement while implementing strategic safety initiatives.
11. Manages and directs site in achieving EHS targets & objectives.
12. Coordinate with Engineering/Manufacturing Departments the proper process for installation of new equipment or production lines, based on the MESH guideline.
13. Facilitates risk assessment at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and aspects.
14. Determines and monitors appropriate leading and lagging indicators to track performance against targets and objectives.
15. Oversees construction and repair projects.
16. Supports creation of EHS goals for the site manager and leadership team.
17. Supervises all Safety and Environmental activities.
18. Formulates and recommends engineering policies and technical work in accordance with project objectives in all related EHS.
19. Drives and promotes zero incident EHS culture throughout site.
20. Creates and facilitates EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees.
21. Completes annual evaluations of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations and MESH assessments.
22. Identifies training needs to ensure legal and EHS compliance.
23. Ensures all key EHS operational controls are in place and action items are resolved timely.
24. Assures compliance with MESH and environmental laws, including:
## Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or Natural Sciences from an accredited institution.
Preferable: Master’s in science and/or Environmental Engineering or related field.
Minimum 7 - 10 years of experience in EHS similar experience in a distribution and /or manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications
1. Knowledge managing WWTP Operations experience.
2. Experience leading, monitor and update Facility Business Continuity Plan.
3. Skilled in PC software: Microsoft Office, Access, Oracle.
4. Full domain in the application of OSHA regulations.
5. Knowledge: Lead Auditor of ISO14001; Preferable: MESH auditor/assessor, Certified Safety Professional (CSP), EPA Regulations, Certified Industrial Hygienist.
