About the role
As an Associate Principal Frontend Solution Architect, you’ll play a key role in Dyson’s Solution Architecture team, reporting to a Principal Solution Architect. You’ll set the vision and standards for Dyson’s frontend architecture, partnering with product, design, backend, and CMS teams to deliver secure, high-performing, and engaging user experiences across web and mobile platforms.
You’ll support governance by contributing to architectural standards and driving the adoption of modern technologies, accessibility, and performance best practices. By mentoring engineers, simplifying complexity for diverse audiences, and championing innovation in areas like AI-driven interfaces and automation, you’ll help keep Dyson’s digital products at the forefront of the industry.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and deliver frontend architecture strategies that power Dyson’s innovation and growth.
- Lead the design and implementation of engaging, resilient, and scalable frontend solutions for web and mobile platforms.
- Support architectural governance by helping shape and uphold standards, patterns, and best practices.
- Partner with product owners, designers, engineers, CMS teams, and stakeholders to craft cohesive, inclusive user experiences.
- Drive adoption of advanced frontend frameworks, tools, and development methodologies.
- Collaborate closely with CMS platform teams (e.g., AEM) to deliver seamless, content-driven digital experiences.
- Anticipate and introduce practical innovations, including AI-driven interfaces, automation, and advanced analytics.
- Ensure all solutions meet Dyson’s high standards for accessibility, security, performance, and maintainability.
- Communicate complex architectural concepts in clear, actionable ways for diverse audiences.
- Mentor and develop frontend engineers and architects, building a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
- Advocate user-centred design and digital inclusion across all Dyson digital products.
About you
- Extensive experience architecting and delivering enterprise-grade frontend solutions for web and/or mobile applications.
- Deep expertise in modern frontend technologies and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js, Typescript, JavaScript, CSS/Sass, Webpack).
- Hands-on experience with CMS platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)—or similar enterprise content solutions.
- Proven success integrating with enterprise platforms such as AEM, Salesforce, SAP, or comparable systems.
- Strong knowledge of frontend security, accessibility, performance, and user experience.
- Familiarity with architectural frameworks and governance (e.g., TOGAF).
- Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work with global teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Leadership experience—mentoring and developing high-performing engineering teams.
- Curiosity and passion for innovation, with interest in AI, automation, data-driven products, and emerging technologies.
- Skilled communicator, able to explain complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Committed to responsible, user-focused technology and fostering diversity and inclusion.
