On-Call Custodian Location: MARTA Stations – Metro Atlanta Area Job Type: On-Site Only 8AM - 4PM Monday - Friday Position Overview Disinfectant Solutions of Atlanta is seeking a reliable and flexible On-Call Custodian to support cleaning operations at MARTA stations throughout the metro Atlanta area. This position is ideal for individuals who are dependable, responsive, and able to work on short notice to cover call-outs, special projects, or increased service needs.This role plays a critical part in maintaining safe, sanitary, and welcoming environments in high-traffic public transportation facilities. Availability, professionalism, and attention to detail are essential for success in this position.Please note: This is an on-site role and is not eligible for remote work.Schedule & Availability Monday - Friday 8AM - 4PMMust be available for evenings, weekends, and possible overnight shiftsMay be contacted for same-day or short-notice coverageHours are not guaranteed but may lead to more consistent scheduling based on performance and availabilityKey ResponsibilitiesOperate pressure washing and cleaning equipment safely and efficientlyClean platforms, entrances, restrooms, stairwells, elevators, and public areasMaintain equipment and report malfunctions promptlyAssess cleaning needs and use appropriate cleaning agents and techniquesFollow all company policies and OSHA safety standardsRead and interpret Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and cleaning solution labelsMeasure and mix cleaning solutions according to company guidelinesInspect areas after cleaning to ensure quality standards are metComplete cleaning logs, compliance documentation, and inventory reportsCommunicate effectively with supervisors regarding shift updates and site needsRespond professionally in high-traffic public environmentsParticipate in required training sessionsQualificationsPrior custodial, janitorial, or industrial cleaning experience preferredExperience with pressure washing equipment is a plusAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionMust be dependable and responsive to on-call schedulingComfortable working in public transportation environmentsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periodsMust follow safety protocols strictlyReliable transportation required
