Senior Manager, Category Management (Premium)

Position Summary

Category Management manages end-to-end product life cycle. The role requires high accountability and comprehensive experience and understanding in all aspects of ATL marketing, BTL marketing and product management skills who can oversee and implement all marketing initiatives. Job scope involves managing price and product propositions including operational excellence of pre-launching, launching and after-launching phases.

Role and Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Responsible & develop and execute global plans for each product group to meet company objectives by defining strategies & product management; implementing marketing plans, promotions & media plans, budget management. Interaction with advertising agency, analysis of sales trends and others by using innovative marketing strategies to achieve sales target & raise product awareness & market share
• Contribute/respond to set up Go-to-market strategy and responsible on perfect implementing the strategy by collaborating with both internal related team and Channel partners by understanding natures of consumer, product, trade and competitors.
• Convert the consumer value proposition, developed by business strategy into customer and shopper value proposition at the channel and customer level
• Ensure operational excellence through input into business management as well as manage marketing budget, P&L responsibility for the categories with a direct control over the annual marketing budget
• Monitor and report competitor price/promotion and benchmarking analysis.
• Understand channel complexity and propose appropriate sellout / promotions to increase sellout in each channel
• Implements and oversees all marketing initiatives within assigned product category including launching of new products
• The role needs to work closely with Trade marketing team, Retail Marketing Team and Sales Team in various channels to support go-to-market planning and execution, and identify sell-out risks and opportunities and corresponding solutions.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management /direct supervisor

Leadership Responsibilities:

• Manage internal stakeholders including HQ and RHQ
• Full responsibility of KPI on responsible areas that pre-aligned with top management
• Manage team under supervision.
• Responsible for team's performance concerning workload and work balance
• Develop organization and increase people capabilities. Be a mentor to trade team members, providing direction, advice and ensuring that their professional skills are continuously growing.
• Ability to build positive internal & external relationships to command all stakeholders & partners towards a common goal to grow the business.

Skills and Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related fields.
• Must have 8 - 10 years of management experience in all aspects of marketing, product management, trade/ channel marketing in related industries or other competitive companies (Prefer candidates from Mobile industry and/or Mobile device management, FMCG) in a fast-paced and competitive market setting.
• Proven track record with high volume & reputed companies are must and experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies.
• Comprehensive understanding of marketing to consumer markets.
• Stress tolerance, drive, well-organized, challenge lover and good problem solving skill.
• Creative, self-motivated with high degree of initiative and result-oriented.
• Strong business management, analytical, decisive, and action-oriented.
• Must possess the ability to work in a fast paced environment while possessing a sense of urgency.
• Excellent command of English and Presentation skills in both Thai and English.
• Computer literacy especially MS PowerPoint and advanced Excel.
• Good inter-personal skills to synchronize and collaborate with other related internal & external parties.
