Position is located in Palmdale, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for building, integrating, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining communications hardware in laboratory environments, ranging from a single equipment rack to 10+ racks.
- Works from schematics, engineering drawings, interconnect diagrams, and configuration/recovery documentation to support prototype builds, fabrication/modification, startup and shutdown procedures, ATP/delivery, and post-delivery support.
- Performs routine operational and environmental tests, collects data, and isolates faults to the component level to verify conformance with design specifications using standard diagnostic equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, VOM/DVM, signal generators).
- Produces engineering documentation and reports, including drawings such as flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics, and performs detailed calculations and preliminary data analyses using established formulas and guidelines.

Basic Qualifications for Level 2:
- Must have a High School Diploma AND 2 years of related professional/military experience.
Basic Qualifications for Level 3:
- Must have a High School Diploma AND 4 years of related professional/military experience.
Basic Qualifications for Both Levels:
- Must have an active US Government Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
- Note: SAP/PAR will be upgraded once selected candidate is in role. Therefore, candidate must also be able to obtain and maintain upgraded SAP/PAR.)
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings in accordance with ASME and IEEE standards, including rack assembly drawings, interconnect wiring diagrams and custom cable assemblies.
- Working experience building and installing custom harness assemblies in accordance with industry standards.
- Working experience with industry standards for connectors including, but not limited to D38999, Dsub, twinax, RJ45, etc.
- Must have color vision to identify cables and wires.
- Candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude to learn new material quickly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current applicable Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
