Description
Overview:
Join Wilmington Trust's Client Onboarding and Support Team (COAST), where you'll play a critical role in protecting the integrity of the bank's client relationships and meeting regulatory requirements. As a KYC Due Diligence Analyst, you'll conduct ongoing due diligence reviews for Wealth and Institutional clients, ensuring customer information remains accurate, complete, and compliant with Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations. This role is ideal for analytical professionals who enjoy investigative work, managing multiple priorities, and collaborating across teams to solve problems. You'll be responsible for reviewing client information, researching ownership structures and business activities, identifying information gaps, and partnering with Relationship Managers and Compliance teams to obtain and validate required documentation. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, excellent written communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.
A Typical Day in This Role:
As a KYC Due Diligence Analyst, you'll work through a portfolio of active client reviews, evaluating customer information to ensure regulatory requirements continue to be met. This includes reviewing business structures, ownership documentation, account relationships, and product usage to determine what information must be collected or updated. Using your analysis, you'll prepare and coordinate requests for information, working closely with Relationship Managers and internal business partners to validate existing customer records and obtain any necessary updates. Much of the communication in this role is conducted through email, making strong written communication skills essential. You'll manage multiple active cases simultaneously, monitor outstanding requests, track aging work, and ensure reviews continue moving forward. Some reviews may be completed quickly, while others can remain active for several months depending on the complexity of the client and the responsiveness of stakeholders. The role offers a balance of investigative research, case management, problem solving, and collaboration.
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct ongoing KYC and due diligence reviews for Wealth and Institutional clients.
Analyze customer information, ownership structures, organizational charts, and account relationships to assess regulatory requirements.
Identify information gaps and determine documentation required to satisfy compliance standards.
Prepare, coordinate, and track requests for information needed to complete client reviews.
Partner with Relationship Managers, Corporate Compliance, and internal stakeholders to validate and update customer information.
Manage a portfolio of active KYC reviews while ensuring service levels and regulatory deadlines are met.
Monitor outstanding requests and perform timely follow-up to keep reviews progressing toward completion.
Review documentation, maintain case records, and accurately document findings and decisions.
Escalate high-risk, complex, or non-standard situations when appropriate.
Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance the client experience.
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, risk management standards, and internal controls.
Ideal Candidate:
We're looking for someone who is naturally organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities at once. The strongest candidates are curious, analytical, and proactive communicators who can independently drive work forward while collaborating effectively with others.
Education & Experience Required:
5+ years of combined higher education and/or relevant work experience.
