Job Description
Position Summary
The Vice President / General Manager (VP/GM) of LFI will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight, driving growth, profitability, and operational excellence. This role provides leadership across multiple business units and functions to achieve business growth objectives, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
The VP & GM drives business strategy, develops high-performing teams, ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation. The position has full responsibility for achieving revenue, operating income, cash flow, productivity, quality, and safety objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute business strategies aligned with Teledyne’s corporate objectives.
Operational Management
Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance.
Ensure efficient utilization of labor, materials, equipment, and capital resources.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity.
Lead efforts to improve operational efficiency, cost structure, and customer satisfaction.
Financial Accountability
Own P&L responsibility for the business unit.
Drive cost control, budgeting, and forecasting to meet financial targets.
Team Development
Build and lead a high-performing leadership team.
Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and customer focus.
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and corporate policies and regulations.
Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship.
Maintain effective internal controls and risk management processes.
Ensure adherence to quality systems and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA preferred.
Experience:
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in industrial or instrumentation markets.
Proven track record of managing P&L and driving profitable growth.
Strong background in operations, manufacturing, and commercial strategy.
Travel Requirement: This position may require travel (15–20%) to meet business needs.
