Description
Position: Temporary Development Coordinator
About the organization: Compass Family Services is a 100+ year old nonprofit working on the front lines of San Francisco’s homeless crisis. We provide families experiencing or at risk of homelessness with comprehensive support to address immediate needs and ensure long-term success.
Compensation: $28 per hour. This is a non-benefit-eligible role.
Schedule: This is a temporary position that will start immediately after hire and run through December 18th.
Location: in person at 37 Grove St., SF with some work at other work sites.

What the Temporary Development Coordinator will do:
The Coordinator will support the functioning of the Development team by providing administrative support as well as significant hands-on support including:
- Assist with the receiving of in-kind gifts from donors and helping manage the Holiday gift pop-up shop
- Helping with data entry, mailings, and other administrative tasks
- Supporting the team with corporate and group volunteering events on-site
The Temporary Development Coordinator should have these skills:
- Energetic and loves the holidays
- Passion for the mission of Compass Family Services
- Competency with Excel and Word or similar programs; experience with Salesforce preferred
- Skilled at managing many details and logistics
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage volunteers and interact with donors and clients
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. and spend hours on your feet
- Work experience preferred, especially in customer service
- Candidates who speak fluent Spanish will receive extra consideration, but all are encouraged to apply!
