Description
Main Tasks, responsibilities and contributions during project execution:
The P&ID Designer is responsible for:
- Issuing the drafts of P&IDs for capturing proposal/ comments from major stakeholders,
- Ensuring all P&ID Objects & their attributes are completed in AVEVA P&ID Diagram and synchronized with AVEVA Engineering (EDB),
- Ensuring P&IDs content and presentation are in accordance with the Work Instruction
- Ensuring the line lists, valve lists, control valve lists and safety valves lists (and other in-line components lists) are correctly updated and released according to relevant workflows,
- Preparing Piping & Mechanical interfaces lists with Partners and with Suppliers,
The P&ID Designer is supporting the Lead Engineer Process & Controls or the Process & Controls Engineers for:
- Reviewing contract and preparing 'Basic Input Data Sheet (BIDS)',
- Defining of coding concept (ECS/KKS),
- Adding insulation requirement,
- Participating to interfaces reviews with Suppliers P&IDs,
- Applying cleaning concept and hydrotest requirements,
- Applying performance Instrumentation requirements,
- Adding instrumentation details from all packages,
- Checking AVEVA Engineering DB (EDB),
- Participating to P&ID reviews (including arrangement and Piping Engineering), HAZOP reviews and Design Freeze reviews,
- Reviewing DCRs from all disciplines for modifications impacting the P&IDs,
- Releasing P&IDs,
Autonomy, Authority and rights:
- Technical authority and autonomy of his/her P&IDs and Lists, technical replies, and for the correctness of his/her document follow-up schedule (technical, time schedule),
- Obtaining on-time decisions from Lead Engineer Process & Controls,
- Receive information about issues and status of the inputs data and documents,
- Receive technical support from Lead Engineer Process & Controls, specialists, Process & Controls engineers and experts/CTH.
Education and Trainings:
- Three-year technical degree in technology (or equivalent) appropriate to the technical field involved (orientated preferably in piping, mechanics, instrumentation),
Or
- Engineering degree (or equivalent) appropriate to the technical field involved (orientated preferably in general engineering or mechanics, process engineering),
- Preferable: 8 years of relevant experience in Piping (power, petroleum, chemical industries…).
Behavioral and/or Technical know-how:
- Computer familiarity (Word, Excel, Outlook…),
- Strong technical and scientific know-how and willingness to continuously extend and develop it,
- Good team player and ensure good communication within the team,
- Customer (Internal and external) focus,
- Target and objectives oriented,
- Knowledge of piping and valves,
- Knowledge of equipment of power station,
- Knowledge of 2D/1D tool (AutoCAD, AVEVA Diagram or Smartplant P&ID),
- Knowledge of KKS codification,
- Volunteer and willing to learn,
- Highly motivated and committed,
- Able to work in a multicultural environment,
