Instructional Designer Specialist
About the Role
Join Parexel's innovative Instructional Design team and make a real impact on how we deliver training solutions to our clients. As an Instructional Designer, you'll create engaging, instructionally sound learning content that drives business results and enhances how Parexel serves its clients. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your expertise in a collaborative environment where you'll work on meaningful projects while being mentored by senior professionals.
What You'll Do
Instructional Design & Development
- Design and develop high-quality training deliverables across multiple modalities that exceed client expectations
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to extract key insights and create compelling learning content
- Apply adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to solve real business challenges
- Stay current with cutting-edge tools and methodologies, contributing innovative ideas to improve designs
- Perform quality assurance on all deliverables to ensure they meet TDS standards and client requirements
Design Management & Client Collaboration
- Build strong relationships with clients and SMEs, managing interactions professionally and keeping stakeholders engaged throughout the development cycle
- Communicate effectively with design leads about project progress, risks, and questions
- Identify and escalate potential risks early, working with your manager and design leads to implement mitigation strategies
- Contribute to a collaborative project environment that values clear communication and proactive problem-solving
Graphic Design & Visual Excellence
- Create visually compelling and functionally effective learning materials
- Provide graphical and design consultation to support innovative training solutions
- Ensure all visual and functional aspects of learning deliverables align with TDS standards and client needs
Who You Are
- Experience: 2-4 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent with a Master's degree and 0-2 years of experience)
- Background: Instructional design, graphic design, editorial design, or training experience
- Skills You Bring:
- Excellent graphic development and instructional development capabilities
- Proficiency in developing learning across multiple modalities
- Strong technical writing skills
- High attention to quality and detail
- Creative problem-solving mindset with ability to design solutions that exceed expectations
- Ability to navigate ambiguity on medium to large-scope projects
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
- Solid understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Communications, Education, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
