Turner Specialty Services is looking for an experienced API 653 Tank Inspector for a position in the Westlake, LA area. This role will perform duties associated with NDE of materials in accordance to referencing code. Non-exempt role; Reports to Site Manager; Close Supervision assigned duties according to specific procedures / work is checked frequently.

 

Essential Qualifications:

• Valid NDE certifications and relevant experience
• TWIC required
• API 653 certification is required
• Additional API certifications are recommended: API 510/570
• NDE background preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, turnaround environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety compliance
• Must possess excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and problem solving skills
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation

 

Functional Requirements:

• Must be able to complete Monthly Compliance Inspections on time.
• Monthly Compliance Inspections will consist of performing Internal and External Inspections.
• Will be required to generate inspection reports from the Internal and external inspections performed.
• Will be required to generate Repair Recommendations from the Internal and external inspections performed.
• Will be required to work with Fixed Engineers to generate repair scopes.
• Will be required to work with repair companies to follow and document all repairs
• Assists in performing duties associated with NDE of materials in accordance with reference code
• Assist with nondestructive testing equipment set-up
• Assist in calibrating nondestructive testing equipment
• Assist in applying testing criteria in accordance with procedures and standards
• Assist in performing other job-related tasks as assigned by certified inspector/technician
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

 

Compensation

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.

Physical Involvement:
