Job Description
As a Security Officer - Full Time Dispatcher in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a utilities location, you will coordinate communications, monitor access activity, document incidents, and support response efforts to help maintain a secure environment. You will provide exceptional customer service while serving as a critical link between personnel and security-related resources. - Provide customer service to personnel, contractors, visitors, and emergency responders by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a utility operations location.
- Monitor dispatch communications, alarms, cameras, and other security-related systems; receive, document, prioritize, and route calls for service to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining clear communication with field personnel and site leadership.
- Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident reports, shift activity records, and other required documentation in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Coordinate routine and emergency communications with security-related personnel, utility operations staff, contractors, and public service agencies as directed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least one year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
