Job Description

As a Security Guard Medical Center in Jamaica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment through professionalism, teamwork, and integrity while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government veterans services location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, providing directions and assistance as appropriate.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
