Role Overview
In this role, you will design and execute test strategies to ensure software quality, validate UI/UX consistency, and track defects from discovery to resolution. You will collaborate with product teams on sprint planning and release sign-offs, while leveraging automation tools to enhance testing efficiency and support seamless product delivery.
Position Responsibilities
Test Strategy: Design, write, and execute comprehensive test cases and checklists covering functional, regression, and integration testing.
User Advocacy: Validate user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) consistency across different browsers and mobile devices.
Release Support: Participate in release planning and sign off on builds before production releases.
Bug Tracking: Document, report, and track software defects thoroughly using tools like Jira, and verify fixes once resolved.
Collaboration: Participate in sprint planning and product reviews to provide early QA feedback on proposed features.
Automation (good to have): Build and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications to increase testing efficiency.
Minimum Requirements
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in manual software testing (Web and/or Mobile apps).
Tools: Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Confluence).
Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of databases (SQL) and APIs (Postman) is a strong plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Having as many of these specific qualifications is a plus, but transferable skills/experiences may be equally valuable:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
