Job Description
Support cybersecurity operations under senior guidance by monitoring, investigating, and documenting security events. Assess and test security controls, maintain high-quality standards, and demonstrate problem-solving and research skills.
Essential Job Functions & Tasks
What You'll Do:
Monitor security technologies for suspicious activity (e.g., malware, unauthorized access, network anomalies).
Analyze alerts and violations; respond to and mitigate threats in real time.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (e.g., Federal Agencies) on threat intelligence and incident response.
Communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats.
Maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, shift-based SOC/CIRC environment.
Ensure cybersecurity remains central to all tasks.
Participate in rotating shifts and be available for on-call duties (24x7x365).
Some travel and overtime may be required.
Additional Experience
Active or eligible for SECRET DoD clearance.
Experience with SIEM, firewalls, antivirus, and encryption tools.
Familiarity with network operations, incident response, and threat hunting.
Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript).
Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux/UNIX, TCP/IP.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, GMON, GCIH, C|SA, CySA+, Sec+).
Ability to analyze threat patterns and assess enterprise impact.
Strong interpersonal, investigative, and critical thinking skills.
Adaptable to changing priorities and high-pressure environments.

Security Spec (SG6)
Education requirements are listed below:
Bachelor's degree OR Associates degree with one year relevant experience in system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical) OR High School Diploma/GED with 2 years relevant experience in IT system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical); OR graduation from an approved Cybersecurity Program; alternatively may have non-degree qualifications (such as hands-on demonstrated ability in a technical interview/assessment).
Work Experience requirement listed below:
No additional experience required in addition to experience identified above.
Security Spec Sr. (SG7)
Education requirements are listed below:
Bachelor's degree OR Associates degree with 2 years relevant experience in system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical) OR High School Diploma/GED with 4 years relevant experience in IT system administration/help desk/security (cyber or physical); OR graduation from an approved Cybersecurity Program; alternatively may have non-degree qualifications (such as hands-on demonstrated ability in a technical interview/assessment).
Work Experience requirement listed below:
2 or more years of Information Technology related experience; OR 1 or more years of security related experience, which may include military/government work experience in addition to any experience identified above.
