Our Cooperative
Today, SLEMCO is one of the nation’s largest and most highly regarded electric cooperatives. SLEMCO, like thousands of other member-owned cooperatives, was founded on the principle that a group of people working together can achieve their goals better and more efficiently than any individual can on his or her own. And it is our hard-working and dedicated employees that make it work.

- Maintaining mainframe and PC network operations by isolating faults, adding/removing devices, loading applications, and testing software

A Typical Workday
As a System Support Specialist I & II, your day is driven by service and accuracy. You will triage incoming requests, document what you find, and communicate next steps to keep work moving. Between requests, you’ll monitor the health of core systems, verify backups, and follow scheduled change windows to roll out updates with minimal disruption. You may move between desks, server areas, and networked devices to confirm connections, validate configurations, and ensure users have the access they need. You’ll also coordinate with teammates on priorities, escalate issues when appropriate, and close the loop with users once service is restored and verified.
