Hiring Brief: Global Transformation Team

Team and Reporting Structure

• The role sits within the Global Transformation Team, under the Transformation Office, led by Howard.
• Howard currently manages a team of four: two permanent team members based in the UK and two contract staff in Hong Kong. The Hong Kong contractors are expected to leave upon completion of their contracts.
• One UK team member has a Power BI background but is not interested in moving into an IT-focused role.
• The other team member focuses on portfolio management. They are unable to provide sufficient support to the Transformation Office and are interested in returning to the banking or insurance sector.

Contract and Potential Conversion

• This is initially a 12-month secondment contract.
• For a strong performer, the business may consider a permanent opportunity within the AI Centre of Excellence Group.

Business Context

• In Q1, the organisation rolled out Planview, a new global project-management platform.

• All global projects are required to be recorded in Planview, including:

  • Project status and updates
  • Value-realisation metrics, such as time saved, revenue generated, cost savings, and user adoption
• There are currently around 34 group-wide initiative programmes and 155 active projects in progress.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills are more important than deep technical qualifications.
• The candidate should be genuinely enthusiastic about AI and comfortable adopting new AI tools.
• Formal AI education or certification is not required; however, they should be confident in prompt-writing and using AI agents effectively.
• Should be comfortable working with data and focused on identifying and communicating business value.
• Expected to use AI to support data analysis and produce dashboards, helping the Transformation Office monitor project delivery and value realisation.
