Cove Forge is currently seeking Dietary Aides to join our Dietary Services team. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about food service and enjoy providing quality meals to others. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a kitchen, restaurant, cafeteria, or similar food service setting, along with a solid understanding of basic food preparation and service practices.

 

This position is a great fit for someone who takes pride in preparing, serving, and presenting meals while contributing to a positive dining experience for those we serve.

 

Position Overview:Dietary Aides are responsible for preparing, serving, and delivering hot and cold foods to individuals within the facility while maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and customer service.

 

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

 

Schedule:  10:30am - 7:00pm

• Previous cooking or food service experience preferred

• Understanding of basic food preparation and safety practices

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform routine tasks related to clean up and sanitation of kitchen, dining or serving areas.
• Properly prepare, serve and store food in accordance with facility policies.
• Ensure compliance with state or federal regulations.
• Prepare foods according to standardized recipes and approved menu.
• Utilize service methods and food handling techniques to ensure quality.
• Understand and apply the sanitation procedures needed to provide a safe and healthy environment.
• Adhere to menu compliance, special diet compliance and report any dietary non-compliance, concern or complaint of patients to dietician, supervisor or manager.
• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• ServSafe Certification or similar food safety certification, where required by the state and facility.
