Description
A leading international professional services group is seeking a Senior Compliance Manager to provide regulatory, AML/CFT/CPF and sanctions oversight across its Cayman Islands operations. The role will advise on complex client and business matters, oversee high-risk KYC/CDD/EDD and sanctions assessments, and ensure effective compliance monitoring, risk management and regulatory reporting, while supporting inspections, audits and gap analyses.
This is a senior leadership role focused on strengthening the wider compliance function through technical guidance, process improvement, training and people development. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with senior management, regulators and international teams, while providing objective, commercially minded judgement on escalated compliance and client matters.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in management, business or a related discipline; additional certifications such as CAMS or ICA are highly desirable.
- 8+ years’ experience in professional services, with qualifications and experience appropriate for a senior management role within a regulated entity, including the ability to meet applicable fit and proper requirements.
- Advanced knowledge of Cayman Islands AML, CFT, CPF and sanctions requirements, including relevant legislation, emerging risks, trends and typologies.
- Strong analytical, written and presentation skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Proven leadership and people management experience, including cross-jurisdictional teams, with strong client communication skills, a proactive and solutions-driven approach, and the ability to exercise independent and objective.
