ABOUT THE TEAM

 

The Advisor, Business and Technology Governance, under the supervision of the Director, Business and Technology Governance, will play a key role in maintaining a robust governance and control environment at PSP. Ensuring that the governance framework remains current, effective, and aligned with the organization's strategic transformation initiatives, the role will support the adaptation of governance frameworks, processes, and documentation to reflect evolving business processes, technologies, organizational structures, and regulatory requirements.

 

 

ABOUT YOUR ROLE 

 

As an Advisor, Business and Technology Governance, you’ll:  

 

• Manage the internal controls certification process of PSP Investments key controls
• For identified deficiencies on the internal control environment, issue recommendation/observations and support control owners to define and implement remediation plans
• Manage the creation, review and update of the governance artifacts including Corporate Procedures, Committees’ Term of References, departmental procedures and /or guidelines with the objective to clarify business units’ roles and responsibilities, increase accountability and maintain a strong internal control environment
• Maintain the governance system to reflect changes to governance artifacts
• Collaborate and provide support in the consolidation of evidences and documentation for various internal/external audit mandates. Collaborate to the monitoring of recommendations and action plans prescribed by internal/external auditors 
• Perform various internal control review mandates to assess fraud risk
• On an ongoing basis, identify various process improvement opportunities and work in collaboration with business partners to optimize business processes and ensure efficiency
• Ensure close collaboration and alignment with control and process owners, Internal Audit and Risk Management Group
• Support the Director and the Senior Manager, Business & Technology Governance in various other ad hoc requests

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED 

 

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field
• Minimum of five (5) years of internal audit/controls/compliance/IT audit type experience is mandatory
• CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designation (required)
• CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst), CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) or CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) designation is a strong asset. CIA/CISA certification, an asset
• Experience within financial services, investment management, pension funds, or regulated industries.
• Solid understanding of governance, risk, and compliance frameworks
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Bilingualism: English and French (frequent interactions in English with PSP employees based in our offices in Hong Kong, London and New York, and interactions in French with employees in our local offices in Montreal and Ottawa
