General Description

Design and develop Coatings and prepare Sales Quotation for Optics

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks

· Turning customer requirements or specifications into technical drawings.

· Communicate with Vendors to develop costing.

· Prepare and send Sales Quotations for optical lenses and Sub-Assemblies

· Develop Customer relationships.

· Design and create coating designs and troubleshoot coatings.

· Maintenance of Coating Chambers

May be required to help with additional tasks as necessary. 

Requirements

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, optics, or related discipline or equivalent 5 years of experience.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Must have a creative approach.

· Engineering principles.

· Knowledge of Coating Design Software TFCalc or equivalent

· Knowledge of precision optics

· Knowledge of Solidworks 3D Modeling is a plus.

4. Work Environment / Physical Demands

· Work around standard office conditions.

· Fast paced Work environment

· Maintenance will involve hands-on fixing of electrical and mechanical systems and may involve lifting of some heavy equipment.
