As the Lead Pricing & Commercial Manager, you will act as the strategic architect of our practice's commercial engine. You will own the overarching commercial framework, lead complex deal structuring for multi-million-euro/pound bids, and directly advise executive leadership on margin optimization. This role balances hands-on, high-value financial modeling with strategic leadership, driving the commercial governance that ensures our practice hits its aggressive growth and profitability targets.Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Deal Structuring: Lead the commercial strategy and financial structuring for large-scale, high-risk, or complex multi-year digital transformation and managed services bids.
- Commercial Governance: Establish, monitor, and enforce pricing policies, discount matrixes, and margin thresholds across the tech consulting practice.
- Executive Decision Support: Act as the primary commercial advisor to the Practice Head and Markets lead. Present financial risk assessments and profitability trade-offs during executive deal reviews.
- Framework & Model Ownership: Design and scale global pricing frameworks, standardized rate cards, and automated estimation models utilized by the delivery teams.
- Negotiation & Client Facing: Partner with sales and legal teams to negotiate complex commercial terms, risk-reward mechanisms, and Service Level Agreement (SLA) penalties directly with enterprise clients.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance, QA support, and professional mentorship to junior and mid-level commercial analysts within the practice.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in commercial finance, pricing strategy, or deal desk management, with at least 3 years specifically in a tech consulting or enterprise IT services environment.
- Proven track record of successfully structuring large complex contracts, including Time & Materials (T&M), Fixed Price, and Managed Services structures.
- Expert negotiation skills and the ability to confidently challenge senior delivery directors and sales leaders to protect margin.
- Advanced experience with financial risk modeling, revenue recognition standards (IFRS 15/ASC 606), and master services agreements (MSAs).
