RN Job Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse, you will:
Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to patients across all age groups
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Implement, monitor, and evaluate treatment plans and patient outcomes
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments
Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and compliance standards
Promote patient safety, comfort, and positive healthcare outcomes
Adhere to Mercy's Mission, Values, Service Standards, and Nursing Practice Guidelines
Required Qualifications
Education
Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program
Licensure
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice or Compact RN License
Must meet all applicable State Board of Nursing requirements
Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
BLS may be obtained within 30 days of hire
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
Ability to bend, twist, kneel, squat, reach, and perform direct patient care activities
