As a Chef de Partie, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional culinary experiences by overseeing the preparation and execution of high-quality dishes. You’ll lead by example, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and technique, while fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork in the kitchen. Your passion for food and commitment to quality will be central to creating memorable guest experiences.
What you will do:
Food Preparation & Execution
Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
Ensure mise en place is complete and stations are set for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service.
Begin preparation of items in advance, ensuring quantities align with forecasted needs.
Team Leadership & Training
Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff, promoting adherence to core standards and culinary excellence.
Provide feedback and support development of team members; recommend disciplinary actions when necessary.
Kitchen Operations & Equipment
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including fryers, grills, ovens, mixers, and more.
Ensure all equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
Inventory & Food Safety
Label and rotate food items according to safety standards; monitor storage temperatures and shelf life.
Track inventory levels, identify shortages, and manage food waste to optimize cost control.
Assist in implementing corrective actions for food cost issues.
What you bring:
Proficient in English (reading, writing, and verbal communication).
Minimum of 3 years of professional culinary experience in a high-volume or fine dining environment.
Strong understanding of food safety standards and kitchen operations.
