Job Details

The Academic Program Manager (Hourly) supports the planning, coordination, implementation, and continuous improvement of academic programs, initiatives, and student support services. This role works collaboratively with faculty, administrators, students, and external partners to ensure efficient program operations and a positive educational experience. The position may oversee scheduling, program logistics, reporting, compliance, communications, and special projects in support of institutional goals.

Job Duties

  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
  • Supports the coordination and daily operations of academic programs, including scheduling, communications, and program logistics.
  • Serves as a primary point of contact for faculty, students, and administrative partners regarding program-related activities and inquiries.
  • Collects, organizes, and maintains program data, tracking key metrics to support reporting, accreditation, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Supports execution of academic events and initiatives such as orientations, workshops, meetings, and special academic programming.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in education, business administration, public administration, or a related field).
  • Master’s degree in a related field preferred

AND

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in academic administration, program coordination, higher education, or related administrative support role.
  • Experience working with faculty, students, or academic programs strongly preferred.


Additional Qualifications

  • This position is intended for qualified professionals performing non-instructional academic support duties on an hourly basis.
  • Temporary, part-time, or project-based assignment depending on departmental needs.
     

Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
