Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia will feature 95 keys and 25 branded residential homes, 8 distinct F&B outlets, all thoughtfully designed to reflect a contemporary interpretation of the Dominican Republic’s natural beauty. Wellness will be a defining pillar of the property, delivering a holistic experience that harmonizes with the natural environment while enhancing overall wellbeing through the restorative power of nature. The sustainable luxury destination is located on a 60-acre (24 hectare) site along the pristine beachfront of Playa Esmeralda in northeastern Dominican Republic, along the southern shores of Samaná Bay. As part of our pre-opening team, you will help shape the culture, systems and guest experience from the very beginning.
About the Role
Four Seasons Resort and Residences Dominican Republic at Tropicalia is seeking a Travel Industry Sales Manager to join our pre-opening team. Reporting to the Director of Sales, this position will lead sales efforts across assigned travel-industry accounts and territories, strengthening Tropicalia’s market presence and generating profitable, long-term business through strategic outreach, personalized partner engagement and disciplined account management.
What You Will Do
Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for assigned travel-industry accounts, segments and geographic territories.
Prospect, solicit and secure business from luxury travel advisors, agencies, consortia, wholesalers, tour operators and other strategic partners to achieve established revenue goals.
Manage the full account-development cycle, including qualification, rate negotiation, contracting, activation, production analysis and retention.
Build trusted, long-term relationships with key travel-industry partners through consistent communication, personalized engagement and exceptional account service.
Conduct sales calls, destination presentations, site inspections, familiarization trips, trade shows, client events and other industry activities.
Develop meaningful relationships with key clients and VIP guests of agency partners, ensuring relevant preferences and opportunities are communicated to the resort.
Partner with Revenue Management and Commercial leadership on pricing, segmentation, need periods, promotions and revenue-generating opportunities.
Identify and develop strategic partnerships that increase awareness and demand for Tropicalia within the luxury leisure market.
Maintain accurate account profiles, activities, production, opportunities and follow-up within the resort’s CRM and sales systems.
Review account performance and booking trends, identify areas of opportunity and implement actions to increase production and market share.
Monitor market conditions, competitor activity, destination trends and changes within the luxury travel-industry landscape.
Prepare sales forecasts, account reviews, production reports and action plans and provide regular performance updates to Commercial leadership.
Represent Four Seasons and Tropicalia as a polished, knowledgeable and authentic brand ambassador.
Support pre-opening sales activations, familiarization initiatives and other Commercial priorities as assigned.
What You Bring
College degree or equivalent professional experience in Hospitality, Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Tourism or a related field.
Three to five years of luxury hotel sales, travel-industry sales or hotel-operations experience, with a demonstrated record of achieving commercial goals.
Established knowledge of the luxury travel industry, agency and consortia landscape, wholesale distribution and strategic account-management practices.
Strong negotiation, presentation, communication and relationship-building skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Opera, Delphi or comparable hotel sales and CRM systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
Strategic judgment, discretion and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative Commercial team.
Ability to travel and work flexible hours when required for clients, trade events and resort operations.

This position will be based in the Punta Cana office, with travel to the resort in Miches and assigned markets as required. Adaptability, sound judgment and attention to detail will be essential, and the schedule may reflect operational and client needs, including evenings, weekends and public holidays when required.
