Position Summary
Qnity is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to support our HD Microsystems business. HD MicroSystems (HDM) is a 50/50 joint venture between Qnity and Resonac and is the world's leading supplier of polyimide and PBO precursor chemistries for microelectronics applications.
This individual will be responsible for leading product quality initiatives, customer complaint resolution, quality system improvements, and cross-functional continuous improvement projects. This role serves as the primary liaison between customers and the business, ensuring customer requirements are understood, communicated, and incorporated into quality and operational strategies.
The position combines technical problem-solving, statistical analysis, project leadership, and customer engagement to drive improvements in product quality, manufacturing performance, and customer satisfaction while supporting new product development and long-term business growth.
This is a 100% onsite position that will report into our Parlin, New Jersey facility. Applicants currently residing within a daily commutable distance to this location will be given priority.

What You'll Do
Serve as the voice of the customer and establish quality standards that drive customer satisfaction and business success.
Lead customer complaint investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation.
Manage customer communications, quality notifications, and resolution roadmaps while collaborating with global teams.
Develop and execute quality improvement initiatives that enhance product performance, service responsiveness, and customer experience.
Drive quality ownership for assigned product portfolios, including process control, statistical monitoring, and continuous improvement activities.
Lead quality activities associated with new product development, material qualifications, specifications, and commercialization efforts.
Partner with manufacturing, R&D, supply chain, and commercial teams to resolve technical quality challenges and prioritize customer requirements.
Lead ISO audits, customer audits, and quality system improvement projects.
Utilize statistical tools and data analysis techniques to identify trends, reduce variability, and improve product quality.
Support strategic quality roadmaps that align operational capabilities with current and future customer needs.
Collaborate with global quality organizations to ensure consistency, alignment, and best-practice sharing across sites.
What We're Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
5+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality engineering, process engineering, or continuous improvement.
Experience working in a manufacturing or process engineering environment.
Proficiency with statistical software packages such as Minitab, JMP, or similar.
Strong knowledge of statistical methodologies including Design of Experiments (DOE), Control Charts, Gage R&R, and ANOVA.
Experience conducting root cause analysis and utilizing risk assessment tools such as FMEA and Cause & Effect analysis.
Experience communicating with customers, suppliers, or external stakeholders.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and engineering judgment capabilities.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and related business tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the semiconductor, advanced materials, specialty chemical, or microelectronics industries.
Knowledge of polyimide materials, material characterization techniques, and analytical testing methods.
Experience working with global teams and managing projects across multiple regions and cultures.
Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent continuous improvement certification.
Experience leading customer audits, supplier quality initiatives, or quality management system improvements.
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional quality and continuous improvement projects.
