Cayuga Lake National Bank is looking for a motivated Junior Commercial Lender & Business Development Officer to join our Commercial and Business Banking team!

This is an opportunity for someone with a strong business development background who wants to expand their commercial lending expertise while helping local businesses grow and succeed. You'll work alongside experienced lending professionals, develop lasting client relationships, and play an important role in expanding the Bank's presence in the communities we serve.

What You'll Do

As our Junior Commercial Lender & Business Development Officer, you'll combine your passion for business development with commercial lending and relationship management. You'll have the opportunity to:

• Build your business: Identify new opportunities, develop referral networks, and establish lasting relationships with small and mid-sized businesses throughout our local markets.
• Help local businesses succeed: Work closely with business owners to understand their financial needs and recommend      customized lending and banking solutions.
• Develop your lending expertise: Partner with experienced lending professionals to originate and close commercial loans,      lines of credit, and equipment financing.
• Grow and manage relationships: Maintain an assigned commercial loan portfolio, monitor loan performance, and identify      opportunities to expand customer relationships.
• Offer comprehensive banking solutions: Introduce customers to business deposit accounts, treasury management services, and      other banking products.
• Be the face of community banking: Represent Cayuga Lake National Bank at networking events, business meetings, and community activities while building valuable local connections.
• Support responsible lending: Assist with credit analysis, loan documentation, portfolio reviews, and regulatory compliance to maintain a strong, high-quality loan portfolio.

Requirements

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Three to seven years of business development experience.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
• Understanding of commercial lending, credit analysis, and loan portfolio management.
• Ability to identify business opportunities and develop strong customer relationships.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn banking and loan origination systems.
• Knowledge of local business markets and economic conditions.
• Valid New York State driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Previous commercial banking experience.
• Experience working with business owners, developing referral relationships, or managing business banking accounts.
• Familiarity with commercial loan origination systems, including Abrigo.
