Position Summary

 

The Senior Manager, Integrated Business Planning (IBP) APAC is a key strategic leadership role within the Johnson & Johnson Surgical Vision Supply Chain organization. This position leads the regional Integrated Business Planning process across the Asia Pacific region, ensuring alignment between commercial ambitions, operational capabilities, financial commitments, and long-term business objectives.

 

As the regional business planning integrator, this leader connects insights across Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Manufacturing, Global Planning, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Supply Chain functions to develop a single, aligned view of the business.

 

The role is responsible for translating complex market dynamics, supply outlook, portfolio strategies, and business risks into actionable recommendations that enable timely and informed decisions by senior leadership. Through scenario planning, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration, the Senior Manager drives the balance between customer service, growth, profitability, inventory optimization, working capital, and business continuity.

 

In addition, the role champions supply chain transformation, digital innovation, planning excellence, and capability development to advance IBP maturity and support sustainable growth across the APAC Surgical Vision portfolio.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Integrated Business Planning Leadership

• Lead the APAC Integrated Business Planning process for the Surgical Vision portfolio, ensuring alignment between commercial demand, supply capabilities, financial objectives, and strategic growth priorities.
• Establish and strengthen IBP as the primary cross-functional decision-making process for identifying risks, opportunities, trade-offs, and business priorities across the region.
• Facilitate executive planning and governance forums, driving timely escalation, resolution, and decision-making on critical business issues.
• Partner closely with Commercial, Finance, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Global Planning, and Supply Chain leaders to align business goals with operational execution.
• Develop a culture of transparency, accountability, and enterprise-wide collaboration across planning processes.

 

Strategic Business Partnership & Decision Support

• Integrate market intelligence, demand signals, supply outlook, financial targets, and portfolio strategies into a single regional business perspective.
• Translate complex and often ambiguous business challenges into clear insights, recommendations, and executable action plans.
• Influence senior leaders through rigorous analysis, business storytelling, and fact-based recommendations.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to APAC leadership teams, supporting strategic and operational decision-making.
• Identify and evaluate trade-offs across service, inventory, profitability, cash flow, and growth objectives.

 

Planning Excellence & Scenario Management

• Lead the development of robust demand planning and forecasting strategies leveraging analytics, market intelligence, customer insights, and historical trends.
• Drive proactive scenario planning and risk mitigation strategies to address supply disruptions, demand volatility, product transitions, and emerging business opportunities.
• Assess and communicate the end-to-end impact of planning scenarios on service levels, inventory, working capital, profitability, and business continuity.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing forecast accuracy, planning effectiveness, inventory productivity, and customer service performance.
• Establish performance metrics and governance processes to drive planning excellence across the region.

 

Product Lifecycle & Portfolio Management

• Partner with Commercial, Finance, Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing, and Global Planning teams to ensure successful launch readiness and product lifecycle execution.
• Integrate New Product Introductions (NPI), product changes, regulatory approvals, and market-specific requirements into regional planning strategies.
• Drive portfolio optimization efforts while minimizing inventory and supply risks associated with product transitions and discontinuations.
• Ensure supply readiness and business continuity during product launches and lifecycle changes.

Digital Transformation & Supply Chain Innovation

• Lead strategic initiatives to enhance planning capabilities through automation, advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and digital solutions.
• Partner with global teams to optimize planning systems, processes, and ERP capabilities.
• Promote data-driven decision-making through visualization tools, predictive analytics, and business insights.
• Advance IBP maturity and planning excellence across the APAC organization through innovation and continuous improvement.

 

Leadership & Talent Development

• Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team within a complex matrix organization.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusion, continuous learning, and accountability.
• Build organizational capability in business planning, analytics, stakeholder management, and strategic decision-making.
• Drive talent development, succession planning, workforce planning, and performance management activities.
• Model Johnson & Johnson Leadership Imperatives and inspire teams to deliver business results with excellence.

 

Governance, Quality & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to all Johnson & Johnson policies, quality systems, regulatory requirements, and financial control processes.
• Maintain the highest standards of compliance within a highly regulated MedTech environment.

Qualifications

Required

 

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Integrated Business Planning, Supply Chain, Operations, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, or related functions.
• Experience within MedTech, healthcare, life sciences, or other highly regulated and complex global industries.
• Demonstrated success leading regional planning organizations and influencing outcomes within highly matrixed environments.
• Deep expertise in Integrated Business Planning (IBP), forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.
• Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to evaluate trade-offs and drive enterprise-level decisions.
• Proven ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across multiple functions and geographies.
• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and structured problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong executive communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Experience leveraging analytics, automation, visualization tools, and AI-enabled supply chain solutions.
• Demonstrated ability to lead organizational change and transformation initiatives.

 

Preferred

• MBA or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
• APICS CPIM, CSCP, IBF, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent professional certification.
• Experience with enterprise planning platforms such as SAP IBP, OMP, Kinaxis, Anaplan, o9 Solutions, or Blue Yonder.
• Experience leading large-scale planning transformation and digital capability-building programs.
• Experience presenting to executive leadership teams and steering business decision-making forums.
