ROLE SUMMARY


Since PAXLOVID’s emergency use authorization on 12/22/21, PAXLOVID has helped treat over 25M patients at high-risk from progression to severe COVID-19, which can lead to hospitalization and/or death. PAXLOVID is well-positioned to remain the gold standard in COVID-19 treatment, however the COVID-19 treatment landscape is a rapidly evolving space with significant complexity. Opportunity to increase treatment rates for eligible patients and bolster PAXLOVID’s leadership position in the marketplace continues. New burden of disease studies and real-world evidence is anticipated throughout 2026 and beyond to help continue to support the treatment value proposition.


The Senior Director, HCP Team Lead, US Antiviral will report directly to the VP of US Antiviral and will be responsible for leading the development and execution of marketing strategies for U.S. HCPs in a complex and evolving market


The role will require the ability to work collaboratively with the U.S. Customer Engagement Platform (CEP) organization, the CMO, and other agency and cross-functional teams. They will need to translate insights into action and identify business accelerators and innovative strategies to overcome market challenges and drive business. The ideal candidate will have high learning agility and demonstrated prior success in leading key marketing and strategic initiatives and demonstrate the ability to learn and adapt strategies and tactical execution quickly given how dynamic the marketplace is.

 

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead a team of experienced marketers and drive treatment of appropriate patients through strong leadership in the following areas:

·       Develop the overall HCP strategy and tactics to support appropriate utilization of PAXLOVID

·       Support the development and implementation of annual tactical plans that drive the short- and long-term HCP strategy, based on key customer insights

·       Member of the U.S. PAXLOVID leadership team; actively contributes to overall strategy for the brand, development of the team and accountability for the culture and environment

·       Continuously own the measurement and impact of HCP marketing initiatives, generating key learnings, and driving continuous improvement in order to achieve brand objectives

·       Ensures marketing materials are compelling and appropriate across all appropriate channels.  

·       Coordinate with IIS on the design and implementation of HCP market research to gain customer insights and monitor HCP performance trackers

·       Partner with CEP, Commercial Effectiveness, and CMO teams to incorporate our Brand Strategic Customer Insights into broader field-based Targeting and Segmentation plans

·       Partner with GCET to ensure new hire training adapts consistent with brand strategy and critical success factors

·       Lead the U.S. POA meetings and other Sales Force meetings including planning, execution and follow-up engagement

·       Manage U.S. PAXLOVID A&P budget and performance of the Agency of Record and other key partner agencies

·       Collaborate and align with marketing team counterparts and cross-functional team members to ensure the plans work in synergy to deliver business objectives

·       Conduct all responsibilities in accordance with Company policies, with a strong adherence to our Values including compliance

·       Exhibit a high performance, values driven approach to develop strategies, identify opportunities, and manage key issues to achieve commercial objectives

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

·       Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience; master’s degree preferred.

·       Experience successfully converting market and stakeholder insights into actionable strategies and tactics. 

·       Experience successfully engaging and partnering with external customers.

·       ​Excellent communication and presentation skills, including to internal and external senior leaders.

·       Strong strategic skills including creativity and effectiveness in identifying and managing major strategic challenges; can manage through ambiguity.

·       Ability and eagerness to challenge status quo, act decisively and operate successfully in an empowered organization.

·       A commitment to excellence – both in the results achieved and in how they are achieved.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

·       Master’s degree preferred.

·       US Marketing experience

·       Pharmaceutical marketing experience

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $214,900.00 to $358,100.00.* In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer’s Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. * The annual base salary for this position in Tampa, FL ranges from $193,400.00 to $322,400.00.
