Physical Therapist - Full Time Days

The Physical Therapist I provides evaluation, consultation, and therapeutic services to help patients restore mobility, improve functional abilities, and prevent disability. This role develops and implements individualized treatment plans for patients with musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, and integumentary conditions while ensuring compliance with hospital policies, professional practice standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. As a member of the interdisciplinary care team, the Physical Therapist supports optimal patient outcomes through evidence-based rehabilitation services.Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' physical function, mobility limitations, and rehabilitation needs.
- Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans based on physician orders and clinical assessment.
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve strength, mobility, balance, endurance, and functional independence.
- Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, exercises, injury prevention, and recovery strategies.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to achieve rehabilitation goals.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with hospital, state, and federal requirements.
- Ensure compliance with physical therapy practice standards, patient safety guidelines, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's, Master's, Doctorate, or Certificate degree in Physical Therapy.
- Current state Physical Therapy license.
- Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintained throughout employment.
- Knowledge of physical therapy principles, rehabilitation techniques, and patient care practices.
- Strong communication, patient education, and clinical documentation skills.
Preferred
- Experience treating patients with musculoskeletal, cardiopulmonary, and integumentary conditions.
- Previous acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient, or hospital-based physical therapy experience.
