Position Summary
The Assistant Project Manager supports the successful execution of modular manufacturing and electrical construction projects from pre-construction through project closeout. Working closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams, this role assists with project planning, scheduling, cost tracking, documentation, customer communications, and operational coordination. The Assistant Project Manager helps ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contractual and company requirements while gaining exposure to all phases of project delivery.
What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Execution
- Support Project Managers in coordinating projects through estimating, pre-construction, manufacturing, production, delivery, and closeout.
- Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, work plans, and tracking tools to ensure milestone achievement.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, procurement, and field teams to facilitate project execution and resolve routine project issues.
- Monitor project progress and proactively communicate schedule impacts, risks, and action items to project stakeholders.
Financial & Administrative Management
- Assist with project budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and productivity reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review project documentation, invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor agreements for accuracy and compliance.
- Support change order preparation, documentation, and tracking activities.
- Maintain project records and generate reports to support project performance reviews and management decision-making.
Customer & Stakeholder Support
- Assist with customer communications and provide timely updates regarding project status, schedules, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with customers, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Participate in project meetings and help document action items, meeting notes, and follow-up requirements.
- Support efforts to ensure a positive customer experience throughout the project lifecycle.
Operational & Team Support
- Promote a safe work environment by supporting company safety policies and compliance requirements.
- Assist with resource planning and coordination to support manufacturing and construction schedules.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on project efficiency, quality, and service delivery.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure work is performed in accordance with company standards and contractual obligations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Working knowledge of construction and project management principles, including scheduling, procurement, budgeting, and project documentation.
- Understanding of manufacturing, modular construction, or electrical construction processes and project workflows.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and support effective solutions.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret project schedules, financial reports, drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with a proactive and customer-focused approach.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project; experience with Accubid or similar project management and estimating software is preferred.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of project coordination, project management, construction management, manufacturing operations, or a related field preferred.
- Exposure to electrical construction, modular manufacturing, data center, industrial, or mission-critical projects is preferred.
- Basic understanding of project financials, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration.
What You'll Get
Working Conditions:
The majority of the time you will work on construction job sites. When on construction job sites you will encounter typical construction conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud debris, welding, leading edge, trenching, and shoring, sometimes in a confined space. You may be required to visit multiple locations during any one day.

Salary Range: $80,750-$109,250

Compensation Range
