As our Closing & Reporting Accountant within our Sanofi Business Services team in Budapest, you will deliver monthly closing and reporting services as part of our Account-to-Report function. Ready to get started?
Sanofi Business Services (SBS) is one of the four pillars of Sanofi's Business Transformation organization. Our new captive Business Services centre in Budapest provides Finance & Accounting services including Account-to-Report (A2R) and Customer-Invoicing-to-Cash, as well as Employee Experience services. Within A2R, we cover Assets Management, Tax and Intercompany accounting, Treasury accounting, and General Ledger closing and reporting. Main Responsibilities
- Deliver monthly General Ledger closing and reporting services, ensuring all activities are completed according to the global timetable and operational KPIs.
- Review interfaces and automatic postings to ensure accuracy, close Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable sub-ledgers, and reconcile Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss accounts.
- Request, collect, and reconcile recurring and non-recurring items, and post Manual Journal Entries as needed.
- Prepare management, tax, legal, and statutory reports at Group and country levels, as well as ad-hoc reports and analysis.
- Execute all processes, transactions, and reports in compliance with Sanofi accounting policies, internal control guidelines, and audit/SOX requirements.
- Develop expert-level knowledge of activities and entities in scope, and build, document, and transfer process knowledge relating to monthly closure and reporting.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and participate in automation initiatives to eliminate redundant activities and ensure seamless adoption.
About You
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Experience in General Ledger accounting, month-end closing, and financial reporting, ideally in a shared services or multinational environment.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and compliance requirements (IFRS, SOX, internal audit standards).
- Proficiency in ERP systems (such as SAP) and Microsoft Excel; experience with reporting and data analytics tools is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to reconcile complex accounts and resolve discrepancies effectively.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with Finance, Controlling, Treasury, Tax, and other cross-functional teams.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, process automation, and operational excellence.

The salary range for this position is :Ft7 603 200,00 - Ft10 137 600Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
