Role Description
IT Application Owner is responsible for identifying and Assessing the current state technological infrastructure for gaps or potential improvements using their knowledge of infrastructure solutions and where industry innovations are in their lifecycles. Work includes:
Determining the appropriate technological solutions to balance delivery and compliance
Identifying gaps in the current infrastructure solutions and implementing the associated improvements whilst ensuring compliance with technical roadmaps Improving the safety and security of IT Applications, compliance with internal and external standards and operational readiness
Supporting the bank’s audit function in the remediation of audit points and issues in order to reduce risk
Identifying and assessing IT Application risk and implementing the associated technology measures
Contributing and assisting the implementation of policy and strategy specific to IT management and Information Security
Identifying opportunities to incorporate new technologies/approaches into best practice

Your key responsibilities
The IT Application Owner (ITAO) plays a crucial role in managing the compliance of one or more application instances under their control throughout their entire lifecycle.
As an ITAO, you will:
Act as the primary contact for application-related requests from various Bank teams, covering areas such as IT compliance attestations, information security attestations, disaster recovery coordination, and patching coordination.
Own and manage the backlog of IT management and compliance tasks, working closely with development teams for effective remediation.
Manage multiple stakeholders (Including Business, Security, Development, Testing (QA), IT Support, Finance, external Vendors and Architecture) to ensure regulatory compliance, operational smoothness, and a robust development lifecycle for the application.
Ensure the application is compliant with the Bank’s IT policies and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Support the development team in maintaining high service availability and stability of the application.
Your skills and experience
Strong time management and project coordination skills, with the ability to keep multiple tasks on track and manage several work streams simultaneously.
Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, capable of communicating effectively at all levels, from auditors and engineers to support staff and senior management.
Very good presentation and communication skills in English.
Highly organised and self-driven, with strong analytical abilities.
Basic technical background and understanding of servers, storages, networks, databases, UNIX, and Windows.
Understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts; experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
Good understanding of information security concepts.
Over 2 years of experience in a global IT organization, with hands-on experience in Project Management, Application Management, Governance, Software Development, or Operations.
ITIL or other IT, Information Security or Project Management certifications are a plus.
Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
