Position Overview
FH Furr is seeking a Permit Coordinator to join our team in our Manassas, VA office. This role is responsible for managing permits, coordinating inspections, and serving as a key liaison between municipalities, inspectors, and internal teams across multiple branches.
The ideal candidate will have experience with permitting, construction, home services, or a related field and thrive in a fast-paced environment that requires strong organization, communication, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply for all required permits across multiple FH Furr branches
- Schedule and coordinate inspections with local jurisdictions
- Serve as a liaison between inspectors, municipalities, and internal teams
- Track permit status and maintain organized, accurate documentation
- Ensure compliance with local codes, regulations, and permitting requirements
- Communicate timelines, updates, and any issues to internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- Experience in permitting, construction, home services, trades, or a related industry preferred
- Familiarity with permitting processes, codes, and inspections
- Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build effective relationships with inspectors, municipalities, and internal teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and permit-tracking systems preferred
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused mindset
