Position Summary

Responsible for installing, calibrating, troubleshooting, and maintaining oil and gas measurement, SCADA, instrumentation, and electrical systems to support safe, accurate, and compliant operations.

Measurement Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot gas and liquid meters, transmitters, flow computers, probes, samplers, and related equipment.

  • Analyze and validate measurement data, calibration records, proving reports, and reconciliation variances to ensure custody transfer accuracy.

  • Identify and resolve measurement discrepancies, equipment failures, communication issues, and performance gaps.

  • Ensure measurement equipment meets applicable regulations, industry standards, company procedures, and manufacturer specifications.

  • Coordinate with operations, accounting, engineering, vendors, and third-party measurement groups on installations, upgrades, repairs, and documentation.

Instrumentation & Automation Responsibilities

  • Install, calibrate, configure, troubleshoot, and repair field instrumentation, transmitters, RTUs/PLCs, flow computers, communication equipment, and control devices.

  • Diagnose instrumentation loops, signal wiring, control circuits, alarms, shutdowns, and communication issues.

  • Support automation projects, system upgrades, commissioning, loop checks, functional testing, and control verification.

  • Maintain accurate records of instrument calibration, control settings, wiring changes, and equipment status.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum 3 years of oil and gas experience; measurement and I&E experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge of OCC, BLM, and BIA regulations; measurement or instrumentation certifications preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, climb, lift, pull, push, and carry up to 50 lbs. during prolonged shifts.

  • Ability to work in industrial, construction, outdoor, and hazardous environments, including exposure to H2S, chemicals, loud equipment, and extreme weather while using appropriate PPE.

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company vehicle eligibility requirements.

  • Availability for after-hours, night, weekend, and holiday callouts.
