Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Credential Processing in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a critical utilities location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and authorized access, monitor activity, and provide professional customer service to employees and visitors. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter security-related incidents while supporting daily operations. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, issue visitor badges and access credentials, and maintain accurate entry and exit records in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, and the perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Assist with maintaining a professional, orderly environment by directing visitors, enforcing site entry requirements, and documenting security-related activities and incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
