Overview
We are seeking a Senior Construction Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll perform a variety of construction tasks, including structural upgrades and repairs while also working closely with field teams to ensure jobs progress efficiently and are completed with quality. A Sr. Construction Technician will coordinate with field teams, troubleshoot delays and ensure tasks stay on track across the pipeline. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with a positive, can-do attitude and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities
Install required structural upgrades for accounts
Complete home repairs such as roof repairs, minor stucco and drywall, and structural upgrades
Provide project review and material sourcing
Mix paint, ingredients, or chemicals, according to specification
Maintain a high quality of workmanship
Load and unload materials
Perform job site cleanup and maintain vehicle with equipment for each project
May assist with organizing equipment in the warehouse when support is needed
Maintain compliance to all PPE and safety regulations per OSHA and company standards
Plus additional responsibilities:
Support operational flow by stepping in directly or coordinating field completion when pipeline delays or scope gaps arise
Troubleshoot blockers or incomplete tasks to maintain job progress and avoid disruption to downstream teams
Act as a field resource to ensure scopes are completed to standard and timelines are maintained across the pipeline
May monitor project sequencing and site readiness to ensure smooth execution across active and upcoming jobs
Provide leadership, technical expertise and support to Construction Technicians
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
2-5 years of experience with residential construction or solar experience
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work, including customers
Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)
Ability to work on rooftops with various angles and surfaces which requires frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, kneeling, crawling, turning, standing, and balance
Ability to work in confined spaces which requires kneeling, crouching and climbing ladders
Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions including but not limited to: excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet environment, and humidity
Ability to frequently utilize hand functions requiring fine motor skills including but not limited to: fine manipulation, grasping, and pinching
Up to 25% travel may be required

Ability to climb and work from 20-foot ladders.

Must be able to walk rooftops of varying slopes and materials.
Ability to work in the sun and possibly low light conditions
Ability to work with chemicals using appropriate protection
