Summary of Position:
Responsible for day-to-day administration of the organization's contract lifecycle management process, including intake, database maintenance, deadline tracking, and preparation of routine contract documents. Provides administrative backup support to the Risk Management department in other areas (e.g., IP docketing, certificate of insurance tracking) as assigned. Exercises delegated judgment and decision-making authority on contract terms as directed by the Director of Risk Management, with the scope of authority assigned on a matter-by-matter basis according to complexity, value, and risk.
Work Environment:
Primarily sedentary, office-based work.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for overseeing administration of the contract lifecycle management process to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Maintain and update the corporate contract management system database with precision.
Record and summarize contract details in the database.
Conduct initial reviews of key contract terms, identifying potential issues and escalating them for further analysis by the Director of Risk Management.
Track and manage contract deadlines using the corporate contract management system, ensuring timely reviews and communications with internal stakeholders.
Prepare and distribute formal notifications related to contract actions (e.g., renewal, nonrenewal, expiration) for Director review prior to distribution where the notification has legal or financial effect.
Support new contract reviews by preparing summaries and flagging issues for Director analysis.
Facilitate compliance with the company's contract signature/delegation of authority policy.
Draft, negotiate, and finalize contract terms, template agreements, amendments, nonrenewal notices, and terminations, exercising delegated judgment and decision-making authority as authorized by the Director of Risk Management on a matter-by-matter basis according to complexity, value, and risk. Authority under this role does not extend to matters requiring Director-level or executive approval per company policy.
Qualifications:
Required:
Associate degree in Legal Studies, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
2-4 years of substantive experience in business contracts and/or legal support.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Ability to work in a team environment and effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
Ability to work self-directed and demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Preferred:
Demonstrated experience negotiating contract terms.
Experience with contract lifecycle management software.
Other duties as assigned.

This position requires access to sensitive vendor, financial, and legal information. Teammate must maintain strict confidentiality of all contract terms, pricing, and related business information, and must disclose any actual or potential conflict of interest to the Director of Risk Management.
