Description
Looking for a motivated, quick learning Surgical Technologist or surgical nurse to excel in a clinical surgical setting. Will assist in outpatient procedures in a high volume dermatology clinic. Need a talented assistant capable of identifying doctor’s needs during surgeries, to facilitate the flow of patients, and assist with surgeries and procedures. No call or weekends.

- Serve as a patient advocate during patient exams and treatment.
- Recording medical history and confirming the purpose of the visit.
- Ensure proper documentation is obtained prior to preparing the patient for treatment.
- Prepares patients for examination or surgery.
- Help providers examine and treat patients. Many hands-on elements such as blood draws, injections, wound care, and assisting during procedures are a requirement for this position.
- HIPAA compliance and safe OSHA practices.
- Practice teamwork, service, and respect for coworkers and patients.
- Maintain accurate electronic charts in EHR.
- Patient Education.
- Returning patient phone calls.
- Under provider direction, authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
- Collecting, documenting, and delivering lab specimens.
Medical Assistant/ Nurse Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to effectively communicate with staff and patients.
- Organization.
- Possess a strong work ethic and high level of professionalism.
- Confidentiality.
- Maintain a positive, caring attitude towards patients.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
Medical Specialty: Dermatology.
Schedule: 8-hour shift.
