SUMMARY OF POSITION
Under general supervision, this position will help facilitate the efficient functioning of different meetings organized by the city departments, including Council meetings and Planning and Zoning meetings. They will support the City's Video Production team in ensuring that all audiovisual equipment is operational. Responsibilities also include offering assistance in AV conference rooms, coordinating support for current and upcoming Crestron installations, as well as overseeing overhead paging support and installation. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND BEHAVIORS
Any work related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels in the below Minimum Qualifications may be an acceptable substitute for the below specified education and experience requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Telecommunications, or a related field. Three (3) years minimum experience working with Audio Visual equipment.
Must possess the initiative to manage multiple tasks independently with little direct supervision.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Tasks require the ability to exert moderate, though not constant physical effort, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 50 pounds). Some tasks require the ability to perceive and discriminate visual cues or signals. Some tasks require the ability to communicate orally.

Essential functions are regularly performed without exposure to adverse environmental conditions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to assess AV and Telecom requirements and propose effective solutions.
- Plans, installs, configures, and maintains AV systems and related technologies.
- Collaborates with vendors and service providers to optimize AV solutions and manage vendor relationships.
- Provides technical support for AV issues, resolving incidents promptly to minimize downtime.
- Stays abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in AV to recommend and implement continuous improvements.
- Conducts training sessions for end-users on AV and ensures proper utilization and troubleshooting awareness.
- Develops and maintains documentation for AV systems, including configuration details and troubleshooting procedures.
- Participates in the planning and execution of IT projects related to AV Technologies.
- Occasionally assist Service Desk with daily operations.

- Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., CompTIA IT Fundamentals, Cisco CCNA).

- Creston Certified Audio Technician
- Crestron Core Certification
- DMC-E-4K Certification
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Must pass a drug screen and background check.
- Must have Class C Texas Driver’s License.
- Must pass CIJS Certification due to access to secured areas and/or information.
