The Payroll Specialist (junior level) is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely calculation of employee salaries while complying with applicable legislation and company policies. This role contributes to maintaining an efficient payroll process and provides support to the Human Resources and Financial-Accounting departments.
Work schedule: Monday - Friday from 5:30 PM till 1:30 AM IST - Daily On-Site.
Location: EMAAR Digital Green, Tower B, Golf Course Road Extension, Sector 61, Gurugram, Haryana – 122011.
Key Responsibilities
- Collecting, verifying, and entering payroll data into the payroll system;
- Calculating salaries, taxes, contributions, and other deductions according to tax legislation and individual employment contracts.
- Generating payroll statements and preparing related reports.
- Managing medical leave, vacation days, and other types of absences.
- Maintaining payroll document records and achieving them in compliance with legal regulations.
- Providing support to employees in clarifying payroll, tax, and deduction-related matters.
- Meeting legal deadlines and internal company policy requirements.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources. Specialization courses in payroll are an advantage.
- Good knowledge of tax and labor legislation related to payroll.
- Basic knowledge of payroll software (e.g., ADP, SAP, etc.).
- Experience in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail and numerical analysis skills.
- From 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role or related fields (Accounting, HR).
- Internships or practical experience in payroll are considered an advantage
