In this role, you will drive a commercial vehicle to distribute and maintain city garbage receptacles (CARTS).
Examples of Duties:
- Drives a commercial truck to issue city garbage receptacles (CARTS) to residents and businesses
- Responsible for loading and unloading of CARTS
- Maintains inventory, orders, and performs minor repairs on CARTs
- Addresses customer complaints about service pertaining to CART repair requests, exchanges and initial deliveries
- Performs minor administrative duties including but not limited to answering phones, filing, completing reports, etc
- Maintains tools and equipment in good working condition
- Delivers tools, equipment, mail, messages, etc. to other offices, departments, customers, vendors, etc
- Performs other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2 years of experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid CDL B license.
Other Necessary Requirements:
May require evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
In the event of major storms or other emergency situations, this position may be subject to 24-hour shifts or any other emergency schedule that is necessary to meet the City’s needs.
